Randolph was a member of the American, Tennessee State, and Memphis and Shelby County bar associations, Shelby County Farm Bureau, Shelby County Soil Erosion Control Association, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Memphis Chamber of Commerce, and the Memphis University Club. His religious affiliation was with Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Memphis. Politically a Republican, in the 1920's he helped plan a political strategy which was successful in achieving the selection of Thomas H. Allen as a legislative member from Shelby County over the candidate selected by Memphis political leader Edward H. Crump. Interested in genealogy, Randolph wrote and financed the publication of five books in this field, which were distributed by the Memphis Public Libraries (National Cyclopedia of American Biography).
