Old Windham Pioneer Cemetery is located on Highway 24, north of Simcoe, in Windham Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. This cemetery is on the historic site of the Old Windham United Church (1794-1961) and includes a replica of the church and several plaques describing the church and cemetery.
A bronze plaque in front of the replica of the church reads,
"OLD WINDHAM UNITED CHURCH 1868-1963 - The Reverend Jabez Collver (Culver), one of the earliest Presbyterian Ministers to settle in Upper Canada, built a log house, possibly the first residence in Windham township, on this site about 1796. The building also served as a Presbyterian preaching place until Collver's death in 1818. Within two years it had been replaced by a Methodist Episcopal frame church. In 1868 this buildng was replaced by a larger brick structure, a New Connection Methodist Memorial Chapel, later known as old Windham United Church, of which this monument is a replica."
The Old Windham Cemetery is located on this historic property where many of the early pioneers of the Long Point Settlement are buried.
