This project is a meeting place for users who share the X2-G225A Mitochondrial DNA haplogroup, which means they are related along their maternal lines. mtDNA X2  has been located at multiple late Neolithic sities in Central Europa and Eastern Germany. 

To X2 belong 99%, the rest is further divided in 15 subclades: from X2a to X20

Strongly present in the Near East, the Caucasus and Mediteranean Europe. Particular concentrations appear amongst Abkhazians in Georgia (8%), the Scotland's Orkney Islands (Scottish Gaelic is a Celtic language!) (7%), and amongst the Israeli Druze Community (27%).
