Most of this project will be focused upon finding out what happened back in the early 1800s that caused either William East or Sarah Jane East to be adopted by the East family. A family tree that my mother wrote back in 1958 or 1959 indicates that Sarah was the adopted one. In either case, William and Sarah married eventually, and their son Marquis D East, Sr. was my great-great grandfather.
