What we now know as the San Saba Cemetery was first dedicated on April 26, 1884, as the Odd Fellows Cemetery on ten acres. The Odd Fellows maintained the cemetery until 1929 when it became necessary to expand to meet the needs of the town. Expansion required the cemetery to be chartered by the state.
