Reāli tā sāka darboties 1931.gadā. Tās biedri lidoja pa visu Latviju. Tai piederēja 31 jauna lidmašīna. 1932.gadā izveidojās Jūras Aizsargu aviācija. Aizsargu aviācija bija pakļauta Iekšlietu ministrijai.
