About the Gulliver surname

The Gulliver name is originally norman and means glutton. That is not our real name. Our name was orriginally Galagher or Gallagher or Gallaher. James Galagheer was a valleet for the Percival family in either Northern Ireland or ngland aand he ran off with the daughter Elizabeth Percival who was alot youngeer. They got married in Co, Cavan April24, 1825. There was a price on his head for "Kidnapping" so they fled to Canada The first son John was born in Canada

Feb 5th, 1826.  The second son was James  Dec10, 1827.  The Ship New Swiftsure saiked from Northern Ireland and landed in Quebec May 2, 1825 and there was a Mrs Gallagher aboard.  However we do not know if she was the Elizabeth Percival who married James Galagher.
