The name Hasson, with many variants in spelling, occurs in the Jewish population of the Island of Rhodes, currently in the country of Greece, formerly in Turkey and or Italy.
This population was destroyed in the Holocaust in Greece when the entire Island's Jewish residents were sent to Europe and murdered. Some survivors came back to the Island. Some went to America. Some wrote Pages of Testimony for Yad Vashem, a valuable and easily accessed resource.
