According to Prof. Wm. Pfeilstecker MD of Cologne U., a Mangolt Widmann of Dagersheim (Wurtemberg) was awarder the income from a Widemhof, a church church barn used for the deposit of tithe obligations in 1342. This fief was from the local warlord, Count Eberhard the Illustrious, and was in recognition/recompnnse for Mangolt's being his illegitimate child. Mangolt subsequently became known as Mangolt Widemann.
