Alphonse Lucien Cyr, 73, of Enfield, husband of Patricia (Murray) Cyr, died Sunday, (January 9, 2000) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Oakland, ME on April 21, 1926, a son of the late Solomon and Marie (Rossignol) Cyr, he moved to Connecticut in 1943. Mr. Cyr was employed as a welder for many years at Dynamic Metal Products in Manchester, retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Enfield and was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War. In addition to Patricia, his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. Cyr and Doreen J. Cyr, both of Enfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven L. and Jennifer (Wigmore) Cyr of Hopewell Junction, NY; three grandchildren, Matthew L., Lauren C., and Kathryn E. Cyr, all of Hopewell Junction, NY; two sisters, Simone Corbin and her husband Lucien of East Hartford; and Lillian Levesque of East Windsor; a sister-in-law, Vera Cyr of Middletown; two brothers, Patrick Cyr and his wife Ida of South Windsor; and Valmon Cyr and his wife Connie of West Milford, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Anita Daigle of Waterville, ME; and two brothers, Philmon Cyr of Middletown and Robert Eddie Cyr of East Hartford, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial with Military Honors, will be in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 300 Research Pkwy., Meriden, CT 06450 or the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492
