Ann White - Lane - Stubbs, Convict "Minstrel" 1812

Ann PEGLER was born in 1773 in Gloucester England (daughter of Aaron PEGLAR and Betty Rogers).

Baptised 21st March 1773 at Bisley, England

Ann married Joseph White 9/1/1794 in Stroud, Gloucester, England and they had the following children

On the 1st May 1810, Ann White and son Joseph, were tried for stealing a half a hundred weight of hay from a rick on 16th March 1810.

Then on the 23rd April 1811, they were tried for stealing one ewe sheep on 21st December 1810. According to the Gloucestershire Record Office, Ann and son Joseph were condemned, reprieved, and no further sentence received.

Ann was convicted and sentenced to transportation to Australia. She arrived in Sydney Cove on "Minstrel" on 25/10/1812

Ann married Elijah LANE in 1813 at St Johns Church in Parramatta

Ann married Joseph STUBBS in 1828 at Church of England, Castlereagh

Ann died in 1840 at Richmond, NSW (Other records say 1858 Richmond)
