B. F. MELTON, 76, DIES AT HOME OF SON HERE

B. F. Melton died Tuesday at six o'clock at the home of his son, L. S. Melton. Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock and were conducted by Rev. Louis Waldron of Texarkana. He was buried in Ashdown Cemetery. Mr. Melton was ill only a few days. He had lived in this county about five years, having moved here from Paris, Texas. He was the father of six sons and one daughter: J. B. Melton and Nolan Melton of Paris, Texas; Harlan Melton of Durant, Okla.; C. W. Melton of Ralls, Tex.; B. F. [??] Melton, Ray Melton, and Shirley Melton of Ashdown. All of the children were here for the funeral except C. W. Melton, who was unable to come. The deceased was seventy-six years old and had lived a Christian life for many years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
