Mrs. Blanche E. Monningh, 61, died Tuesday morning at St. Marys hospital in Grand Rapids after an illness of one year. She was a resident of Ionia most of her life and resided at route 2, South Ionia.
She was born in Sheridan, August 31, 1909, the daughter of Allen and Myrtle Stebbins. She was married to Max Monningh of Kalamazoo and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of First United Methodist church.
Mrs. Monningh is at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan and at noon Friday will be taken to her South Ionia home. Services will be Saturday at 2 pm at First United Methodist church. Rev. Charles W. Fullmer will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
Survivors are two sons, Jan Monningh in Vietnam and Fletcher with the army in Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Candice Dunlap of Lansing; four grandchildren; three brothers, Hyland Stebbins of Lansing, Leland and Max of Ionia.
