On 29 September 1691, Edward Woodman, Sr. of Boston -- who was the husband of his daughter Remember Maverick -- petitioned on behalf of the seven Woodman children that "Unice" be ordered to give an account of her administration of Moses Maverick's estate.

His [Moses Maverick's] informal will, with no signature or witness, was presented by his second wife Eunice at Ipswich on March 30, 1686. He remembered his second wife Eunice at Ipswich on March 30, 1686. He remembered his wife and four daughters - Elizabeth Skinner, Remember Woodman, Mary Ferguson, and Sara Rosman. He also referred to Moses Hawks, the child of his deceased daughter Rebecca; and to Samuel Ward, Abigail Hinds, Mary Dollabar, and Martha Ward, the children of his deceased daughter Abigail. His children objected and it was held over until the next court term. The will was administered on July 15, 1684, docket number 1472. The will may not have been accepted, but Eunice was made administratrix of the estate. Edward Woodman, husband of Remember, petitioned the court three times demanding an accounting of Moses' estate. The final settlement of the estate wasn't made until November 29, 1698

"I have found some information that might help the search. The Edward Woodman who married Remember Maverrick, daughter of Remember Allerton and Moses Maverick, was a mariner on the Ship Jeremiah in 1669. It appears that he didn't settle in America until after 1669. I am still looking for his parents and their home in England and if they are a branch of the Edward Woodman family that settled in Old Newbury in 1635."

- "I have been trying to find information on Edward Woodman for some time. As near as I can tell there are two separate men mentioned in these last few posts. There is an Edward Woodman of Boston who married Remember Maverick, daughter of Moses Maverick and granddaughter of Isaac Allerton of the Mayflower. He is also found around his wife's family in Marblehead and Salem, Mass. The other Edward Woodman is in Newbury,Mass. but sometimes in Boston records. It is difficult keeping them separate.
- 'I would like to find out the origins of the Edward Woodman of Boston and documentation regarding his death. I am trying to find out if he is actually known to have died or if he disappeared. In short, I need to find out if he might be the Edward Woodman I am really looking for, a mariner/pirate who was last seen on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands ca.1699, and married a Deborah Martens (various spellings) in 1701.
