About Elias Lovelace

Elias Lovelace was born on January 27, 1755 in Frederick County, Marland. When he was about 20 years old he moved to Rowan County, North Carolina.

He married Nancy Anne Robey (born January 3, 1757, daughter of Thomas Robey) on January 12, 1775.

In May 1776, he volunteered as an Indian Spy for 3 months under Capt. Samuel Reese, and in 1779 volunteered for 5 months under Capt. Jacob Nicholas.

In 1798 he moved to Butler County, Kentucky for 7 years and then moved to McCracken County, Kentucky. He applied for a pension on May 11, 1833 and died in December 23, 1834.

His widow applied for a pension (W9143) on June 2, 1840, aged 83.
