  • Edward Holyoke of Lynn was from Tamworth, Warwick Co., Eng., where he m. June 18, 1612, Prudence, dau. of Rev. John Stockton, rector of Kinkoff. His will made Dec. 25, 1658, gives "to my son Tuttle that (english pound)4 that should have been paid yearly to me, but of which I have never received a penny, for the house in Boston, my best doublett and breeches to son Tuttle." - Lewis' Annals of Lynn. Inv. (english pound)681; John Tuttle and John Doolittle, appraisers.
  • The father of Edward H. of Lynn was Edward, and is thought to be the same Edward Hollyocke mentioned in the will of Shakspeare's wife (Anne Hathaway) father, where he is spoken of as having a claim of 20s. for wood - N. E. Gen. Reg.

• In his will, dated Dec. 25, 1658 (proved June 25, 1660), he bequeathed his estate to his only son Elizur; son-in-law George Keyser, Thomas Putman, Andrew, Tuthill, daughter Susanna Martin; kinswomen Mary Mansfield, kinsman Thomas Morris of Newham, cousin Davis.
