Ernestine St. John

Ernestine St. John, 70, of Arab died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, in the Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. St John was born July 3, 1940, in Marshall County to Stonewall Jackson Edmondson and Lula Mae Herring Edmondson. She was married to Larry Hayden St. John, who preceded her in death in June 1987.

She was a homemaker and had lived in the Arab area most of her life. She attended the Believers Church in Morgan City.

She is survived by her son: Milton Henry Lovvorn Jr. of Joppa; two daughters and sons-in-law: Penny and Tony Walker of Guntersville and Nancy and Clinton Byers of Birmingham; four grandchildren: Taylor Walker, Andrea Lovvorn, Kristin Lovvorn and Harrison Byers; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bobby and Wanda Edmondson of Arab and J.W. and Jahon Edmondson of Holly Pond.

The graveside service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
