A funeral for Fannie Massey Ellis, 71, of Spotsylvania County will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Traveler's Rest Baptist Church in Spotsylvania. The Rev. Clyde H. Coleman will officiate and burial will follow in Confederate Cemetery, Spotsylvania.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Spotsylvania Chapel.
Mrs. Ellis died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Woodmont Center.
A Spotsylvania native, she had worked as a secretary for American Legion National Headquarters, for the FMC Production Planning Department, and for the Mary Washington College Alumni Association.
She was a member of Traveler's Rest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Glen Ellis; a sister, Velna Peyton of Spotsylvania; three brothers, William Arritt Massey and Walter T. Massey, both of Spotsylvania, and Connie W. Massey of Franconia; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Traveler's Rest Baptist Church Building Fund, 6823 Partlow Road, Spotsylvania, Va. 22553.
