About Hannah Tharp

Hannah Tate was one of four sisters born to William and Martha Dixon Tate in Mill Creek Hundred, Delaware. Raised a Quaker, she was excommunicated on July 14, 1774 after having carnal knowledge of her husband, Solomon Tharp before marriage and being married by a magistrate.
