Two girls have been awarded the highest scholastic honors in the June 1955 graduation class at the Copenhagen Central School.

Miss Carol Durham, with an average of 92.8, is valedictorian and Miss Carol Sherman, having an 89.7 average, is salutatorian.

Miss Durham is a daughter of Mrs. Leona Durham, Watertown, RD 2. She has studied piano for seven years with Mrs. Magdalene York and plans to enter Syracuse University in the fall to major in music.

During her high school years, Miss Durham has been a member of the school band and mixed chorus. She was president of her freshman class and has been on the student council for three years. She was in the cast of the sophomore play and for the past two years has been feature editor of the school paper. She is on the 1955 yearbook staff, quiz team and a Supper Club member.
