About Lt. Israel Curtis

Israel 3 b. Apr. 3, 1644 (John 2 Widow 1 ) m.c. 1665 Rebecca Beardsley dau. of the emigrant William 1 and Mary Beardsley, she b.c. 1645. She m. 2nd after 1704 when Israel 3 died, James Beebe.

This appears evident from the following land record dated Mar. 31, 1719, Danbury, Conn., in which Israel 4 Curtiss conveys to William 3 , Daniel 3 and John 3 Beardsley, sons of Samuel 2 Beardsley deceased.land set off "to my mother, Rebecca, wife of James Beebe" from the estate of her brother John 2 Beardsley and also to her sister Ruth, wife of Smith. The chil- dren of William 1 Beardsley after Joseph 2 b. 1635, are not of record anywhere and this record adds two more, Rebecca and Ruth, to the four more known children, Samuel 2 , Sarah 2 , Hannah 2 and Daniel 2 . Note that Rebecca 2 named two daughters Ruth after her sister and both died in in- fancy in Woodbury.
