Biography ==Rebecca Beardsley was born at Stratford, Connecticut; died at Woodbury, Connecticut, 17 Feb. 1739, where records read, “Rebecca Beebe, the aged widow married, first, Israel Curtis son of John and Elizabeth Curtis; married, second, James Beebs of Danbury, Connecticut, died, 22 April 1728, ae. 87 years. (she was his third wife.) Israel was one of the original proprietors of Woodbury, 1672; attained the rank of Lieutenant in the Train Band of Woodbury, and was choosen Deputy to the General Court, 1689. He was also one of the commissionersof Woodbury. [Holt]
