Luther Wilkins, 83, of Pembroke, Rt. 1, died Monday at his home. Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Baptist Church on Pembroke, Rt. 1. Burial followed in Mt. Airy church cemetery.

The Rev. Venus Brooks and Rev. Earl Oxendine were in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna J. Wilkins; seven daughters, Mrs. Delbert Ammons of Pembroke, Mrs. Milton Faircloth of Clinton, Mrs. W. C. Wilkins of Pembroke, Mrs. H.C. Stewart of Ankara, Turkey, Mrs. Venus Brooks of Pembroke, Mrs. Samuel Skawaley of Charleston, S. C. and Mrs. Mary D. Maynor of Clinton; two sons, Henry B. and Alton Luther of Lumberton; three step-daughters, Mrs. Aqualla Cummings of St. Pauls; Mrs. Joseph Oxendine of Pembroke and Mrs. Marvin Jones of Greensboro; two step-sons, Marson Maynor of Chicago and James Irvin Maynor of Wilwaukee, Wisc.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Luther Wilkins, 83, of Pembroke, Rt. 1, died Monday at his home. Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Baptist Church on Pembroke, Rt. 1. Burial followed in Mt. Airy church cemetery.
