Mary came to Australia as a convict for committing larceny and house breaking after robbing her uncle Joseph Foster house. Mary was tried and sentenced to transportation for life. Mary arrived in Tasmania on the ship "Arab" on the 25 April 1836. She was sent then to Sydney on the ship "Bee" and was assigned to Andrew Baxter, the Governor. Mary received her ticket of leave on Aug 17 1845.
