Mary Stegal, the wife of Thomas Wingfield of York River, (1,2) was born in 1668, possibly in England.(1) They were married abt. 1690 in New Kent County, VA. (1) She died 31 January, 1714 and is buried at St. Peter’s Parish, New Kent County, VA. (3) Her parents are unknown—the name is also spelled Stegall.
