Nancy R. Nye

Nancy R. MITCHELL was born 12 Jan 1846 in Ohio, the daughter of Martin MITCHELL and Sally Theresa MAYHEW. She married about widower, George Washington NYE, the son of Ebenezer NYE & Millicent BLISH, after his wife, Electa C. NYE died in 1880. George W. NYE died in Painesville, Ohio 3 Nov 1909 at age 81 and his widow, Nancy died in Mentor, Ohio 6 March 1929 at age 83. They are buried in Mentor Municipal Cemetery (Mentor Twp. Cem.), in Mentor, Lake co., Ohio in the MITCHELL family plot. She was the step-mother of George W's son, George A. NYE who died 24 Feb 1931 in Painesville, Ohio at age 70. He was divorced and had lived with his step-mother for awhile in Painesville, Ohio before he died.
