If guessing right - Ruby was adopted at about age of 4 abut c. 1936 and Kathyrn Louise Rogers (Rodgers) about age of 7 about 1935 - Louise's son says he has a picture of her about 7 years of age. They were adopted daughters of Herbert Lance Green & Ethel V. Morris

Letter of Margie Dayhoff, Monday, 12 Mar 2001, "...I do know Herbert and Ethel Morris Green adopted Lousie Green Emery and Ruby Lee Green Dayhoff because when Ethel died I found the adoption papers and gave them to Louise (Gerald Lee Emery's mother). One was 7 yers. and the other 4 yrs. when they were adopted but don't know which one...."...Ruby Lee Green Dayhoff was born August 20, 1932 in Vincennes. Her (Ethel) mother told me her birth mother was Betty Montgomery.. I beleive she had an Aunt in Jasonville. She died July 3, 1960 her funeral was 1 week to the day after Samuel Lee was born, She cerbral hemorage nothing to do with birth I was told she is buried in Walker Cemetery close to Lincoln Christian Church between Jasonville and Worthington Greene County. Smith township.. She died at Union Hosital Terre Haute."

2. Obituary Unknown Newspaper. "Dayhoff Funeral to Be Wednesday -- -- Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Ruby Lee Dayhoof, 27 years old, of Worthington route two, who died at 1:00 o'clock Sunday night at the Union Hosptial at Terre Haute were completed today. Mrs. Dayhoff had become the mother of a son Samuel Lee, a week ago today at the Freeman County General Hospital. She was born at Vincennes on Aug. 20, 1932, but had spent much of her life in the Worthington - Jasonville community. At the time of her death she resided near State Road 48, six miles east of Jasonville. Mrs. Dayhoff was a member of the Lincoln Christian Church. She is survived by the husband, Samuel Dayhoff the son Samuel Lee Dayhoff at home, the parents Mrs. and Mrs. Herbert Green of Worthington Route two and one sister Mrs. Louise Emery, also of Worthington Route two. The body of the deceased was taken to the McClanahan Funeral Home at Jasonville and was later removed to the family residence , friends may call. Funeral serivces will be held at the Lincoln Cristian Church at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Lloyd Miller, Rev. Charles Davis and Rev. Allen Busard officiating and burial will be made in the Walker Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the services." Clipped Monday July 4th; tuesday July 5th?.
