Sarah Baker married at St. Saviour, Southwark, Surrey, England, Zechariah Symmes on August 13, 1622. [4][5][6]

Zechariah Symmes was born April 5, 1599, at Cantebury, Kent, England son of William Symmes.[7] [8]

Zechariah and Sarah came to New England with their children, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Huldah, Hannah and Rebecca, on the ship Griffin in 1634, arriving at Boston [9], but soon settling in Charlestown. [7] [8]

Zechariah Symmes died at Charlestown, Massachusetts on February 4, 1670. [7] [8] [10]

In his will, proved March 31, 1671, he names wife Sarah as the sole executrix. He indicates he has already provided in some way 'by reason of marriage' for his son William, and six daughters, Sarah, Mary Elizabeth, Huldah, Rebecca and Deborah. He leaves provisions for daughter Ruth, and sons Zechariah and Timothy, and his 'dear brother' William Symmes. [7] [8]

Sarah Symmes died on June 10, 1673, at Charlestown, Massachusetts. [11]

She left bequests to her sons Zachariah, William and Timothy and wives, son (in-law) Timothy Prout and wife Deborah, and grandchildren Margaret Prout and Margaret and Hannah Davis, daughter Ruth Willice (sic) and her husband Edward, sons (in-law) and their wives being, John and Sarah Broke (sic), Thomas and Mary Savage and Humprhey and Rebecca Booth.
