About Theodore Ratisbonne

fondateur de la Congrégation de Notre Dame de Sion (1842)

Father Theodore Ratisbonne. converted to Christianity in 1827 and became a Priest at the end of 1830. At 1840 he came to live in Paris. He founded the congregation for Nuns Of Notre Dame de Sion (The "Sisters of Sion") and later - "The Sion Fathers". His younger brother, Alphonse "Marie", Converted to Christianity on 1842 and became a Priest too. Later he joined his elder brother in management of the congregations and at 1855 he arrived in Jerusalem (The Holy Land) and was responsible for the building of 3 Monasteries for the congregations.
