In the records pertaining to the Indendens of County Kent, published in Vol. 67 of the Register, an account was given of John Indenden of Cranbrook, tailor, and his wife and children. It was there stated that this John Indenden married Christian Glover, because both he and his wife in their wills called Richard Glover 'Brother.' From the records given above it appears that she was named Mercer and Richard Glover was probably husband of her sister or of John Indenden's sister.
Comments
A number of people looking for Thomas Glover, father of Elizabeth Glover, in Benenden, Kent, England, have for unknown reasons placed far too early a set of dates for him. Elizabeth later married Thomas TILDEN. There is a will dated 9 Sep 1572, probated 25th February of 1572/3 that is clearly THE Thomas Glover, father of Elizabeth Glover (at that time unmarried) and also of two other daughters, Agnes and Alice. He names wife Thomasine (maiden name possibly HAND) as an heir and as executrix, and many nephews and nieces as well as servants and others. The will can be found in note form, notes taken from the actual will and can be found on ancestry.com.
