Thomas, Esq. (son of Thomas) was also one of the first settlers of Bridgewater, and by far the most honored and distinguished man in the place: was one of the first military officers: appointed Lieutenant 1667 and Captain in 1692: was a Magistrate and one of the Governor's Assistants, first chosen 1690, and Justice of C.C.P., and Sessions 1692: his death was occasioned by a fall from his horse, 15 Aug. 1698; he left a wid.
