Excerpt from "William Sargent and His Descendants in America" Thomas resided on "Bear Hill" and took the oath of Allegiance and Fidelity at Amesbury before Major Robert Pike on December 12, 1667. He held public office in Amesbury and was quite a prominent man. He was a Lieutenant in the Militia. Took oath of Allegiance & Fidelity before Major Robert Pike on 20 Dec 1677.

Lieutenant Thomas Sargent was born on 11 JUN 1643 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. He died on 27 Feb 1705/6 at Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. (SOURCE: Early Vital Records of Essex County, Massachusetts to 1850 for Amesbury.) He has Ancestral File Number NRJ0-5R.

Thomas was a farmer and resided on "Bear Hill". He took the oath of Allegiance and fidelity at Amesbury before Major Robert Pike Dec 20, 1677; He held public office and was quite a prominent man.
