See Miner Descent for a list of the children of William Heath and Alice Cheney. They were born between 1574 and ???. Even this site is confused since it says that Agnes Cheney died in 1593 but has two sons named Thomas born after that date. The date of Agnes Cheney's death needs to be re-examined.

2. WILLIAM HEATH, born say 1550-1555, arid probably the eldest son inthe family, was buried at Ware 7 January 1624/5. The name of his wifehas not been learned. * That William, and not either of his brothers Robert or John, was thefather of the next generation of Heaths in Ware is strongly suggestedby the fact that he inherited his father's house there, to theexclusion of his brothers. He was probably well established therealready. Although the Ware parish registers do not include the name ofthe father of children baptized there in the period 1581-1604, thespacing of the baptisms strongly implies that there was only one Heathfamily having children in the parish in the 1580s and 1590s. Beginningin 1604, the baptismal registers include the father's name, and thatyear William's son Thomas was baptized there. Chronology suggests thatthis was William Heath's last child. Significantly, no further children for this William appear in theregisters of either Ware or Great Amwell. * A William Heath, merchant taylor, m. at St. Botolph, Bishopsgate,London, 28 Feb. 158[4/]5, Ellen (____) Swanton, widow of ThomasSwanton of the parish of Whitechapel; an Ellen Heath m. there 17 Jan.1593/4, Stephen Wylde (Allegations for Marriage Licences Issued by theBishop of London 1520 to 1610, Publications of the Harleian Society,25 (London, 1887], 137); Hallen's London City Church Registers, IIISt. Botolph, Bishopsgate [London, 1895], 19, 26,115). New evidence on the Heath line has confirmed that William Heath, Sr.,of Ware was the father of the immigrants Isaac and William. Aninquisition taken at Ware, Hertfordshire, 20 June 1628, mentions anearlier indenture dated 20 March 1612/13 whereby Humphrey Spenser ofWare, gentleman, citizen, and haberdasher of London, and JohnThorowgood of Ware, yeoman, acting as trustees, conveyed variousproperties to a large number of inhabitants of Ware, among themWilliam Heath and Isaac his son.131 In the earlier article, it was shown that William Heath, Sr. was sonof Edward Heath, collarmaker of Little Amwell in the parish of Ware, and his wife Alice. It has now been learned that a Robert Heath islisted on the 1545 subsidy roll for Little Amwell.141 From thechronology involved, and knowing that Edward Heath (ca. 1530-1593)named a son Robert, we may conclude that Robert Heath of Little Amwellwas probably the father of Edward Heath of that place. Both Edward andRobert owned property at Little Amwell, and no other Heaths appear onthe 1545 subsidy roll for this locale.
