William Newsham, of Newsham Hall

In the year 1642 This William Newsham was at the Preston Guild an event that is still held to this day every 20 years, with him were his sons Robert, Richard, WILLIAM and John. At the head of the family was William's eldest brother Richard Newsham of Preese Hall. Preese is a small village near Kirkham Lancashire and is 6 miles from the sea at Blackpool. Another brother called George and a nephew called Thomas the son of Thomas deceased were also with the family that day.
