About Robert Haffenden, I
Robert Haffenden, bequeathed by his father Thomas Heffenden in 1525, a third share in lands called "Great Knoll, Little Knoll, Corner House Croft, Helle Knoll, Jakscroft, Barnefield, Knottsfield, Harristoname and Gerretfield";
Yeoman of Tenterden, buried at Tenterden, 15th September 1571 (PR);
Will dated 11 September 1571 proved Archdeacon's Court, Canterbury, 26 December 1571:
"To eldest son John, £6 which he owes me, and two steers;
To son Robert a black steer and a red steer, two ewes of his choice, when 24 to have a featherbed and bedding;
To daughter Alice Pix, 30 shillings;
To Marian daughter of William Pix, 30 shillings;
Residue of moveable goods to wife Margaret, who is to be executrix; wife to keep daughter Susan in meat and drink for eight years, and to occupy messuage and
lands which I now occupy, for eight years, she to pay son John £4 per annum, then after eight years son Robert to have messuage and lands for ever, wife to have parlour, bedroom etc and £4 per annum during her widowhood; if daughter Susan die before wife, then wife to have only £2 per annum for life;
To son John a messuage at Tenterden now in the
occupation of Thomas Mungam, and land and wood lately purchased of Edward Hales, Esquire."

Married at Tenterden, 12 May 1544 (PR), Margaret Crottoll, executrix under her husband's will, 1571, she was buried at Tenterden, 13 August 1576 (PR).
