About the Bilyeu surname

My Great Uncle, Moses Aubrey Bilyeu, was born in 1892 in Clay County

Missouri. He said he was Mo. Coon Ass, He was proud of his French Ancestry, but was a very proud American who served in WW I he was a truck mechanic, but back home he owned cafes and grocery stores, the last of which was Blues Place half bar and half grill. On the old Beaumont hwy 90 about  .5 miles from Sheldon Resevoir outside Houston Texes. He was married to my Aunt Nell Springer. He was a true gentleman and a devout Christian.
