This spelling refers to the Hapka's descended from Paweł Hapka, (Abt. 1695-1762) and Elżbieta. They, as well as their decedent's resided in the Kashubian region of modern-day Poland, mostly centered around a small village called Borowy Młyn. Between the late 19th-centuary and post-WWII is the main era of migrations. The Hapka's who left following the partition of Poland mostly headed to the American Midwest, (Mostly Minnesota and Wisconsin). If not it seems a fair few migrated to Germany, though I have less knowledge on the European decedents. (Feel free to add is you have more information).
- Linus Hapka
