Starting this week, we will feature a Geni Project every Friday. Today’s featured Project was created by user Ric Dickinson.  It is a collection of profiles and information about the Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II.

Hi Ric, can you share with us what sparked your interest in these royal lines?

My interest in the British royal family was sparked by my grandmother, who was born in England, she remained an Anglophile all her life. She passed her passion for the royal family on to me. She had told me that we had a royal connection and I wanted to see if I was able to prove the family stories were true…I did.

How long you have been researching these lines?

I have been researching the British royals for about two years.

What is the most interesting thing you have learned while researching these lines?

One of the more interesting bits of information I have uncovered is that Kate Middleton, fiancée of Prince William, is not a commoner, she is actually the 19th great granddaughter of King Edward III of England and his wife, Queen Philippa.
