Last week we had a great time at the Federation of Genealogical Societies 2018 Conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The conference took place at the Grand Wayne Convention Center, which was conveniently located across the street from the Allen County Public Library. The library is home to one of the largest collections of genealogical materials in the country.

We enjoyed chatting with attendees as they stopped by the Geni booth to learn more about Geni’s World Family Tree. It’s always exciting when we can connect new users right at the booth too!

Our handy Geni notebooks were a popular item at the conference. These useful giveaways were gone before the end of the second day! They are the perfect size to jot down quick notes and were very useful during conference sessions.

It was also great to see some familiar faces and have our genea-friends stop by. We had fun catching up with geneablogger Dick Eastman and a few long time users came by to share how much they have enjoyed using Geni to build their family trees and find new connections.

MyHeritage also hosted a fun VIP bowling night during the conference. Everyone had a great time showing off their bowling skills and indulging in the Hawaiian-themed buffet!

Next year’s conference will take place in Washington, D.C. on August 21-24, 2019. We look forward to seeing you there!
