Coco Chanel

On August 19, 1883, fashion designer Coco Chanel was born in Saumur, France. After the death of her mother, Coco’s father sent her to live in an orphanage where she learned to sew, a trade that would make her one of the most influential fashion pioneers of the twentieth century. Her perfumes, handbags and trademark suits and little black dresses are still highly popular today.

Coco Chanel is connected to over 70 million people in Geni’s World Family Tree. How are you related?
