Today, December 15, is Bill of Rights Day in the U.S. On this day in 1791, the United States Bill of Rights was ratified, and thus becoming one of the most important and influential documents in history and remains a vital symbol of freedom and liberty. Today we highlight its key author, James Madison, who first introduced the Bill of Rights to Congress in 1789. Today, Madison is remembered as the “Father of the Constitution” for his pivotal role in the document’s drafting and ratification.
