On March 16, 1968 Robert F. Kennedy announced his candidacy for President of the United States. He was the younger brother of President John F. Kennedy and served as the U.S. Attorney General during his presidency. Tragically, on June 5, 1968 Robert Kennedy was shot multiple times after his victory in the California primary. He died the following morning.
