With many areas of the U.S. experiencing a sweltering heat wave, we thought it would be fitting to highlight Willis Carrier‘s Geni profile. Willis Carrier was an American engineer and inventor of modern air conditioning. In 1906, Carrier was granted a U.S. patent for his invention, an “Apparatus for Treating Air,” the world’s first spray-type air conditioning equipment.
