New users starting their family trees on Geni

We loved hearing from Geni users, who shared with us how much they loved using Geni for their family history research and for connecting to their relatives. Many newcomers were also eager to learn how they could become a part of Geni’s World Family Tree, the largest, highest-quality family tree of the world. All visitors were also treated to a complimentary Geni water bottle!

We were lucky to have Geni Curator Adam Brown on hand to chat with new and current users. Many people were very excited to hear that Geni’s World Family Tree is curated by a team of nearly 200 volunteer curators from all around the world.

A newly connected cousin showing AJ Jacobs her relationship path to Adam Brown

As always, Adam worked his Geni-magic and connected several people to Geni’s World Family Tree right at the booth! We also had the opportunity to chat with best-selling author and founder of the Global Family Reunion A.J. Jacobs, who stopped by just as Adam was making a new cousin connection.

The MyHeritage RootsTech After Party

One of the major highlights of RootsTech was the first-ever MyHeritage RootsTech After Party. The Geni team joined the MyHeritage team at the fun-filled bash on Friday, February 6. The party was attended by over 400 guests, which included friends, partners and geneabloggers. The night’s entertainment consisted of many fun game stations, raffle give-aways, and karaoke. The lively party was the talk of the conference the next day!

We had an amazing time at this year’s conference and we can’t wait to see everyone again next year at RootsTech 2017!
