We are working on performance fixes

UPDATE (11:05PM GMT): We’re getting closer. We are hoping it will only be about one more hour. Stay tuned!

UPDATE (7:25PM GMT): We have decided that it is more effective to take the site down completely to finish the work we are doing as quickly as possible. It may be a few hours before the site is back, I’ll keep you updated. In the mean time, why don’t you visit our Forums and meet some other Geni users?

The good news is that we are working on some performance and other enhancements for geni.com. The bad news is that the site may be off-line occasionally today as we work on these enhancements. I’ll keep this post updated throughout the day.
