Looks like he was a biological son of Rivka Luria and Shimon Teomim, not Nathan Feitel. Maybe he grew up in the household of Nathan Feitel when Rivka Luria remarried (to Nathan Feitel).

Wachstein explains some of the confusion in the German. The young Nathan Veidel was called a "grandson" of the older one, but Wachstein says it cannot be the father's father. Could be on the mother's side, or via some other relation of the father. This is common in these old books, where relations are often inexact. The older Nathan Veidel was not called Teomim, so that is why Wachstein concludes he is not the father of Moses Ahron Teomim.
