It's common on Geni to end up with two sets of parents. What happens is that new users often create duplicates without understanding. As those duplicates get merged in, a profile might temporarily have two sets of parents -- until someone merges the parents or disconnects one set.
It's nothing to panic about. It might last for a few minutes or a few days. Sometimes a bit longer. If it looks like it's been a very long time, you might take the time to send a private message to the managers.
