Would it were true. We do have DNA now. GENI says Prasutagus, Brenin o Iceni And Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni [60AD] are my 41st great grandpaents

Boudica and Prasutagus are my 69th maternal great grand parents, if I have it figured right. By daughter Julia's son Eugein Eurgen ap Meurig Trinovantes Siluria. The way they named their kids in those days.

Researching the following families: KEMNOW, HANEY, RIEMER, ABRAM, SCHLEUSSNER, MARKWITH, YEOMAN and any and all the branches and twigs of this immense tree.

boudicca had two daughters whose names are unknown, and no one knows what happened to them after the rebellion but they probably died in the battle so there will be no lineage to her. the current connection is unproven

12/28/2015 at 7:20 AM

There may have been more than two children and Julia may have survived. She may have had family before the fateful battle. We are dealing with some very old info. Also am her 45th grand-daughter.

We should probably disconnect this fake line so we don't keep leading people astray.

12/28/2015 at 4:28 PM

Daughter 1 is currently shown as having two husbands and six children.
Would you cut her from her parents or disconnect the husbands/children?

12/28/2015 at 4:47 PM

The line is there.

12/28/2015 at 5:01 PM

There is no doubt Boudicca had two daughters, but their names are unknown and as far as anyone knows they were probably killed along with their mother. It does no good to guess.

I would cut Julia's connection as a daughter of Boudicca, then create another unnamed daughter of Boudicca to replace her. Of course, we could make it easy for people to find the "traditional" connection if they're interested, by putting notes in both Boudicca and Julia hyperlinking each to the other.

12/28/2015 at 6:51 PM

I think hyperlinks (preferably in the C Note) are a definite requirement. Also MPing the two N.N. daughters so that they aren't merged with each other nor Julia.

Then there is the question of who this Julia is if she is not really Bodicca's daughter. With two husbands was one woman married to both men or should the two couples also be split. I assume you already know the answer.

12/28/2015 at 8:30 PM

I don't know the answer. I have a note that her names are a very late tradition. I have her married to Meurig / Marius ab Arfyrag. Very different from the version here. It would take some major research to unravel the problem, but disconnecting Julia from Boudicca would be a start.
