Can a curator post a link to John Brown for me please Personal servant to Queen Victoria. i can not for the life of me find it, Thank you in advance

Hello Curators,
Can I please have some assistance with incorrect merges.
Try as I might, I have not been able to rectify an error that was made by a family member.
The initial error that was made was:
Private was merged with Private User
Violet is Travis's Fathers Mother or Grandmother. When the merge went through, it made Violet her own Grandson. All of the family links for Violet:
Private and Private then became siblings of Travis.
I have attempted to use the Move command to move people to their correct place, however it just makes a second instance of the person.
The chains of children below those people are all correct.
I have also noticed that both
Private + Private and Private User + Private User have now been doubled up.
More than happy to do the legwork but I do not understand what process to use to get the system to do what I want it to do.
When I look at removing the relationships it gives a tree split error and I do not know what that will cause.
It is Violet and Franks 60th anniversary this weekend and I wanted to give them their family tree. Just my luck this all happens right before it.
Thank you in advance!

clone line identified and unresolved last week, in the last page. (I try with a drawing:)

Private User
I have sent you a Geni message

Can a curator post a link to John Brown for me please Personal servant to Queen Victoria. i can not for the life of me find it, Thank you in advance

[MP] Flandrina de Hauteville, countess of Paternò & Butera clone of her sister [MP] Flandrina de Hauteville, countess of Paternò & Butera .
A rich noble widow remarries. Checked, verified, posted info and congruence from her husband's story. UNSOLVED .. INDEED ..
(Already merged MPs clones in that Norman Italian family: was a nightmare of blocks solved only by stressing (C) from half the world, spending more months, threads, messages and words than to girlfriends :)

A public thank you to Angus Wood-Salomon

My mistakes have been rectified by him.

Private User, done

Kia ora, could someone please disconnect the foster parents from this profile, John Doig Of Cessintullie as they belong to a different branch which can be seen here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cunningham-4533

The correct parents are George and Catherine (nee Miller). Ref: https://www.doig.net/DOIGF.html

Any help much appreciated.

Could someone please complete the following merges?

1 - https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000002210270119

2 - Private User and Private User

3 - Hector Ambroise and Hector Ambroise

Fabulous, thank you Angus :)

Can one of the curators undo this merge: https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=73138162250; it was mistakenly done

In all modern literature about the Von Palant family Arnoldus Parvus, knight, lord of Breidenbend, Teveren, Schinne and Trips is considered as the oldest known ancestor of the family. All generations shown in geni above him should be considered as fictional. Can the link be broken and can the father and mother be marked as fictional?

See e.g. E. von Oidtman. “Arnoldus Parvus, der Stammvater des Geschlechts von Palant”. Zeitschrift des Aachener Geschichtsvereins. Sechszehnter Band, 1894, pag. 38-85 and Gisela Meyer. Die Familie von Palant im Mittelalter. Veröffentlichingen des Max-Planck-Instituts für Geschichte. Band 202. Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, Göttingen, 2004

Need help.
Please, let me know how we can disconnect my cousin from her ex-partner...
She didn't have access to her profile, because he made it, and now she is married with another person and her ex even lives in another country...

Oton Zagorc

Very Kind of you to go out of your way to help me Thank you :)

I have a technical question.

As long as I have access to a single profile, I have always been able to check for duplicates around that profile, even if it is surrounded by "private" profiles. I then got a window with red or blue boxes that can be dragged and dropped upon each other:

For instance, the window may look like this:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
John Olsons parents (2):
Ole Olson Elizabeth Johnson

John Olsons siblings (3):
Andrew Olson Karen Olson John Olson

John Olsons partners (2):
Bertha Johnson Bertha Johnson

John Olsons children (3):
<Private> Olson <Private> Olson <Private> Olson

If you don't see any duplicates, assign parents.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Children have always been locked in this dialog, while partners, siblings or parenta have always been available for drag-and-drop, resulting in a window where I can compare the possible duplicates, and click "Yes, request to merge" at the bottom of that window.

Recently, the same window has started to look like this:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
John Olsons parents (2):
<Private> Olson <Private> Johnson

John Olsons siblings (3):
<Private> Olson <Private> Olson John Olson

John Olsons partners (2):
<Private> Johnson Bertha Johnson

John Olsons children (3):
<Private> Olson <Private> Olson <Private> Olson

If you don't see any duplicates, assign parents.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This makes it impossible to use this dialog to check for duplicates, as long as the other profiles are not "related" or managed by me or someone in my family group. It is now even impossible to request a merge of two identical partners, which is often needed after tree matches of a second, third- or fourth cousin's partner are merged, and there is no tree match of the second, third or fourth cousin itself.

I have a habit of checking for duplicate profiles every time that profiles of my interest are merged, and I have done this very often. So I am absolutely sure that something has changed lately.

(There is still a workaround by editing a link of the type https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/id1?to=id2, which leads directly to the dialog where I can request a merge).

My question is if this change is a bug, or if it is a deliberate change to improve privacy. Is it just me who am experiencing this? I hope that there is someone out there who can answer this question.

Is that a zombie? :William Black

Spas Atanasov Minkov, it was a zombie

Alex Bonnett, I completed merges except for Simon, Marlene and Madeleine - there are active managers for these profiles, I suggest you write to them and ask for their collaboration in merging these profiles, unless you already did.

Private User, merge undone. As to the other issue, I'm living it to curators who have more knowledge in this area. Mine is non-existent.

Ольга Скиба Please send me the link to the profile and her e-mail, so I can add her as a manger of her profile and disconnect the marriage.

He should not be alive, so old ...

Thanks Atalya Buskila Levy,

Private doesn't have an active manager though. I'll see if I can get in contact with the one active manager for the other two.

Could someone please undo this merger: https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=73142008520. Thank you!
