I give up on trying to merge or sort and I leave this here with my fingers crossed...

This post about Nan-Ye ... Taylor caught my eye. A brick wall ancestor in my tree (my 5th great grandmother) has a similar name and I really do not know her birth date or place ( I only guessed at these), so it may be possible as a match:

Nan-yi "Indian Nancy" Taylor

Does anyone have expertise in this area to help figure more out?

Please look at Eliezer Galinsky ... we merged two profiles for Eliezer to connect two good trees, but he has ended up with a second copy of his wife that we can't merge because she is marked private ... the original creators are long since inactive. I have been corresponding with Eliezer and he can be contacted to approve as close relative.

How do we sever an incorrect connection?

Menachem Mendel Znajomek was not married to Szoszana Rafalowicz, daughter of Icek and Curtla. He was actually married to her cousin Rajzla Znajomek, daughter of Izrael and Fajga.

I want to merge Menachem Znajomek and Menachem Mendel Znajomek but want to sever the connection first so it doesn't mess up the tree.

The manager Amnon Irmay has not been responsive to my requests for several weeks and has not been active on Geni for several months.

Can a curator help out with this?

Never mind, I figured it out.

Go to the profile's relationships tab and scroll down to the section listing the relationship connections. Check the box for the relationship you want to remove and hit remove. Then save. I did it so Menachem and Szoszana are no longer married.

PS: It may warn about severing the tree, but that was your intent.

Now you tell me.

I am new to genie and loving it so far! ;)

I added my aunt @sophia as a child of my granny Hendrika Rudolphina Philipina Jacobs and then got the option to merge... In merging I now see that my aunt's husband Private User now displays as a child of my granny which is wrong.

I would be so grateful if anyone can please undo this merge?

Hi Private User and glad you're liking it! Can you post a link to Sophia's profile? If you're sure that merge was correct, then it's probably better to leave it merged but fix Jan's parentage, no?

Anthony Morse, III This is a master profile. I am a manager. However it has been disconnected entirely from the world tree for unknown reasons. It seems to have been done quite a while ago. Why??? Can it be reconnected?

What was the error? The person who disconnected this profile seems to have truncated the entire Morse tree. Is this acceptable? A few profiles that make no sense were added to the top of the tree by the person who did the disconnecting.
